Fishing in the Texas Hill Country has been very good overall despite the dry spring. Beginning May, the local rivers are still at a reasonable level with average flow. Water is generally normal clear. In bright sun you will need to polish your "stalking" skills and go a bit deeper to bag the smarter fish.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;hr width="75%"  style="color:#666600;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Flies:&lt;/strong&gt; You should be thinking "rubber legs" for May&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;Poppers&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;Jog flies&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;Streamers&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Colors:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;Guadalupe River look to the browns changing to olives toward the end of the month as temperatures warm.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Rumored Hotspots:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333333;"&gt;Swimmers are not yet enjoying the cool low water crossings. So until then these areas can provide easy access and are usually productive. Give them a try before school's out.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;hr width="75%" color="#666600"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Maps. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have an eight year history of fishing information that has been incorporated on to several maps.
